Keping Ma

Keping Ma, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is a researcher at the Institute of Botany, CAS, and Director-General of the CAS Biodiversity Committee, as well as an IUCN Council Member. He focuses on community assembly mechanisms, biodiversity conservation and ecosystem functions, promoting specimen digitization and national biodiversity monitoring networks. As a scientific advisor to China's government delegation, he attended COP1, COP4, and COP6-15 of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity. He won the 1st and 3rd Class National Science and Technology Progress Awards. Academician Ma published over 370 articles in renown journal such as Science, PNAS, Science Advances, Ecology Letters. His results contributes to global biodiversity conservation.
